You are writing your own story in life! Is what you are doing right now supposed to be in that story? I hope so! That’s why my goal is to always sign up, get uncomfortable, inspire through doing, shoot, then aim. We don’t have enough time on this planet to stay mundane and there are too many experiences to be doing one thing for too long! It’s all about the short term experiments!

Quick background: 18+ year US Army vet; 8+ year transformer of lives through homeownership (AKA: Realtor) ; 2+ year CEO of an Expansion Team with Hergenrother Realty Group (we are number 18 in the world); Self employed for 10+ years and loving that GRIND; Investor in Real Estate (always looking for people to do deals with); Contagiously energetic teacher who loves helping people discover they can accomplish anything; Podcaster of #theGrind (check it out); aspiring public speaker; Dad of two extremely crazy and loving boys; Husband of an amazingly supportive and ultimate gardener wife.

Let’s be curious explorers together! I love connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals and I’m a firm believer in the fact that you are one introduction away from your entire life changing! Two quotes I live by: Amazing things rarely happen in your comfort zone and only those who attempt the absurd achieve the impossible! Let’s do this!

There is one word that can sum up the adult years of my 40 years on this planet: struggle.  And I mean struggle in every sense of the word.  I used to think that life was supposed to be easy, that good things should just happen to me, not necessarily because I was a good person, but just because that’s the way it should be.  When good things didn’t just happen to me, I became bitter and angry and blamed those in my life for all of my “struggles.”  I lived this way for many years, never accepting responsibility for my actions and consistently placing blame where it didn’t belong.  This is not a recipe for happiness, it’s not even a recipe for surviving, but survive I did.

My journey to becoming more self aware, to becoming a better father and husband, to becoming a better friend, and to finding peace began about 3 years ago.  I started to realize that it didn’t matter what happened to me, what mattered is how I was going to react to it.  I started to learn about emotional fitness, about personal development, meditation, and started to realize that I alone had control over my minutes, my hours, my days, my weeks, my months, and my years.  But most importantly, I had control over my own mind….where every thought, good and bad, begins and ends.

The Grind Podcast is an extension of my journey.  My hope with the podcast and in life is to inspire others through my own journey and to share the good, the bad, and the shit with the world.  To help others who are struggling realize they are not alone.  My final hope is to continue down the path I began three years ago, to strive everyday to be just a little better than the day before, and to become the man I was meant to be.  My favorite quote is “You only live one, but if you do it right, once is enough.” Well, I plan on doing it right from here on out.
